Community Development & Planning

When the Community Development department aimed to expand the village, they initiated a transformative journey to secure better opportunities for growth and safety from the threat of devastating tsunamis. Their key focus areas included community engagement, infrastructure development, economic development, and securing the necessary funding to make these goals a reality.

Partnership

To our federal, state, and local partners,

Thank you for your generous support!

We hold an annual Partnership Gathering event every winter. Please contact us if you would like to be invited to our next gathering! These events represent an important opportunity to share the Tribe's successes, project progress, and support opportunities. The event includes workshops, socials, and tours!

The Gathering Shares Tribal perspectives and explores how our region, along with neighboring communities, can benefit from these important projects.

The Gathering toured the nearby road that suddenly drops off at the edge where land meets the ocean. Erosion is a primary concern in our area.

In this image, the partnership is riding UTVs up to the development area in the local hills.
