The goal of the Information Technology Department is to maintain a network infrastructure design that is secure, dependable, compliant, and scalable while at the same time being driven by changing technology needs and requirements.
The IT department for Shoalwater Bay has many areas of responsibility. We manage, support, and configure the government’s applications, servers, storage arrays, phone system, infrastructure, and peripherals. We also help to keep the organization secure by administering and maintaining several cyber-security systems including firewalls, anti-virus, email protection, and surveillance. Additionally, we make sure staff are able to do their work by ensuring systems are operating correctly and providing them with solutions to any issues that might arise.
