All Hazards Alert Broadcasting System Test The State EMD will be conducting a preliminary test of the AHAB (All Hazards Alert Broadcasting System) siren in July or August. They will be testing all the sirens in the state at the same time. The monthly tests will begin in September and will be conducted the first Monday of each month at 12:00pm. The sirens are designed to be heard outside. The same messages can be heard inside on the NOAA radios. More information will be given as soon as the test dates are confirmed.
CERT Expo The annual CERT Expo will be held this year on September 22nd. All the details are not out yet, but all CERT team members are encouraged to attend the training. Please advise Lee as soon as posssible if you think you want to attend, so that rooms can be booked for this event. |
